Shaadi kab hogi? It is one of the most asked questions in Indian astrology. Here is how a kundali is read for marriage, in plain words.

Where marriage shows in a kundali
- The 7th house: the main house of marriage and partnership. Astrologers look at its sign and any planets in it.
- The 7th lord: the planet that rules the sign on the 7th house. Where it sits, and how strong it is, matters a lot.
- Venus: the main planet of love, attraction and married life, in every chart.
- Jupiter: the planet of blessings and growth. Traditional texts give it special weight in a woman's chart for marriage.
How timing is worked out
A kundali shows what is promised. Timing comes from two things: dashas and transits.
Dashas. In the Vimshottari system, life moves through planet periods. A mahadasha lasts from 6 to 20 years, with smaller antardashas inside it. Marriage often comes during the period of the 7th lord, Venus, or a planet linked to the 7th house.
Transits. Astrologers also watch where Jupiter and Saturn are moving now. When these slow planets touch the 7th house or its lord, the timing is traditionally seen as active.
When a helpful dasha and helpful transits line up, astrologers call it a likely window. It is a window, not a fixed date.
Love or arranged marriage?
This is a very common question. Astrologers look at the 5th house, which covers romance. A strong link between the 5th house and the 7th house is traditionally read as a sign of love marriage. Venus and Rahu also play a part.
Charts are rarely black and white. A good reading talks about tendencies, not certainties.
Marriage age and delays
Some charts point to earlier marriage and some to later. Saturn's influence on the 7th house is traditionally linked to a later or more settled marriage. Later does not mean bad. Saturn is also the planet of patience and lasting commitment.
Mangal dosha comes up a lot too. It is very common, and it often cancels out, for example when both partners have it. There is no reason to fear it.
How Karmik answers marriage questions
Karmik reads your own chart and your own dasha dates. The chart uses real astronomy, the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses.
Ask in your own words, like "Shaadi kab hogi?", "Will it be love or arranged?" or "Is this person right for me?" Type in English, Hindi, Hinglish, or another Indian language like Tamil, Telugu, Bengali or Marathi. The answer comes back in the same language.
