The houses of work

10th house: the main house of career, status and public work. Its sign, its lord and any planets in it set the tone.
6th house: daily work, service, and jobs where you work under someone. It also covers competition.
11th house: gains, income and networks. It shows how work turns into reward.

The planets of work

Saturn: the planet of hard work, discipline and steady effort. Its placement often shows how your career builds over time.
Sun: authority, leadership and government. A strong Sun is traditionally linked to government and senior roles.
Other planets add colour: Mercury for business, writing and numbers. Jupiter for teaching, advice and law. Mars for engineering, police, army and sports. Venus for arts, design and beauty.

Government job astrology

Many people ask, "Will I get a sarkari naukri?" Traditionally, astrologers look at the Sun and the 10th house for this. A strong Sun, or a Sun linked to the 10th house or its lord, is read as support for government work.

The chart shows tendencies. It cannot tell you the result of an exam. Your preparation still decides that.

When will I change jobs?

Timing comes from dashas and transits. A new mahadasha or antardasha often brings a change in work, especially if that planet is linked to the 10th, 6th or 11th house.

Slow planets matter too. When Saturn or Jupiter moves over your 10th house, work tends to be in focus. Astrologers read these together to suggest good periods for a switch, a promotion or a new start. They are periods to watch, not guarantees.

Job or business?

The 7th house covers partnerships and trade. When the 7th house and Mercury are strong and linked to the 10th or 11th, astrologers often read a leaning toward business. When the 6th house is strong, a steady job may suit better. Most charts show a mix of both.

How Karmik answers career questions

Karmik reads your own birth chart, made with real astronomy, the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses. It knows your current Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha, with their dates.

Ask in your own words: "Should I change my job this year?", "Is business right for me?" or "Sarkari naukri milegi?" The answer comes in the language you ask in, from English and Hindi to Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more.

Common questions

Which house is for career in a kundali?

The 10th house. The 6th house of service and the 11th house of gains also matter, along with Saturn and the Sun.

Can astrology tell if I will get a government job?

Traditionally, the Sun and the 10th house are linked to government work. Astrology can show tendencies and timing, but it cannot promise an exam result or a selection.

When is a good time to change jobs?

Astrologers look at your dasha periods, and at Saturn and Jupiter moving over your 10th house. Karmik reads this from your own chart when you ask.
