Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Karmik mobile application ("the App") and the website at getkarmik.com ("the Site"), operated by the Karmik team ("we", "us", "Karmik"). By installing, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country, you must have your parent or guardian's permission.

2. Your account

You sign in using a phone number, an Apple ID, or a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that sign-in method secure. You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you enter — wrong birth details will produce wrong readings, and Karmik is not liable for that.

3. The App is for guidance, not professional advice

Karmik produces Vedic astrology readings generated by software from your birth chart. Readings are for spiritual reflection and entertainment only. They are not:

• Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice.
• Legal advice of any kind.
• Financial, investment, tax, or trading advice.
• A replacement for a licensed professional in any of the above fields.
• A prediction of certain future events.

If you are facing a medical, legal, or financial decision, consult a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services. In India, the iCall helpline is reachable at 9152987821.

4. In-app purchases

Karmik offers paid digital products, sold through Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS. Prices shown are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law. The exact products and prices visible to you at the moment of purchase are authoritative.

Question bundles (one-time)

• 5 questions — credited instantly to your account, no expiry.
• 25 questions — credited instantly, no expiry.
• 100 questions — credited instantly, no expiry.

Astro Pro (subscription)

A monthly subscription that grants you 5 questions per day (refilled at sunrise local time), a daily personalised horoscope, and deeper compatibility readings, for as long as the subscription is active. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your Google Play or App Store subscriptions settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Year-Ahead Cosmic Map (one-time)

A long-form annual report covering yearly themes, twelve monthly forecasts, and remedies, generated from your birth chart. Delivered instantly to your account after purchase. Yours to keep and re-download forever from Settings → My Reports.

Compatibility Report (one-time)

A long-form Ashtakoot Guna Milan reading between your chart and a partner chart you have added. Includes all eight kootas, dosha analysis, remedies, and a letter. Delivered instantly. Yours to keep and re-download forever.

5. Refunds

See our Refunds Policy for the complete rules. In short: refunds are available if a paid report has a genuine technical fault or factual error in the chart math, or if a subscription bills you in error. Refunds are not available simply because you disagree with the content of a reading.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to harass, defame, or threaten any person.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the App or its APIs.
• Submit prompts designed to extract our system instructions or bypass safety rules.
• Resell or commercially redistribute readings produced by the App.
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the birth details and questions you submit. By submitting them, you grant Karmik a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process them strictly for the purpose of operating the App and delivering readings to you. We do not use your content to train third-party models. You may delete your content at any time by deleting your account.

8. Intellectual property

The Karmik name, logo, designs, copy, illustrations, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that readings will match your subjective expectations, or that any specific outcome will occur.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the App, for any cause whatsoever, is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under your local consumer- protection law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India, except where your local law gives you the right to use another forum.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in-App and on the Site. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
